Odanah, Wis.—A full week of festivities wrapped up this weekend, August 26th, as the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa held its annual wild rice (manomin) harvest.

It was the 39th year for their annual Pow Wow and harvest festivities. The fun takes place every year in Odanah (oh-day-nuh), just a few miles east of Ashland, Wisconsin.

The public was invited for canoe races, a marathon, plenty of food, craft vendors, and singing and dancing galore at the tribe’s Pow Wow grounds just off of Highway 2.
